Although our grade 4 farewell field trip was canceled on Monday due to the weather, we had a great time playing games, having relays, and watching movies at school! *Visit Google Classroom for the farewell video. We finished reading the City of Ember. There are 3 more books in the series if your child is interested in them for some summer reading. We began reading folktales, fables, and fairytales. In science, we began building and testing with some design challenges. The grade 3s looked at how to make structures sturdy and the grade 4s began learning about simple machines. For grade 3, this was a great time to connect to our reading focus. Cup Stacking Challenge: How can you build a tall, yet sturdy structure? We learned that a wider base helps.
